importantly, YES, we abused women can overcome because Messiah made it possible
once and for all, for He has become our peace…our shalom. And we are the heirs
of His everlasting covenant which He secured for us by being born of a virgin,
living a sinless life, being crucified, and on the third day being resurrected
for us so we could proclaim to the world as He did, “It is finished!”
We,
like Him can claim, “It is finished, and mean, I am done with fear, pain and
disowning who we are to fit into a family system that doesn’t uphold the rights
of each person to individuate. I am done with pretending that being in
emotional turmoil or physical pain is something that’s normal. In other words,
today, I am claiming that I am a unique person, fearfully and wonderfully
created by God and as such I have the right to be me!”
