Of this Amazon Top 100 in Fiction, Neil Bowers’ 5 Star Review of ‘NO OTHER CHOICE’ says…

'Brilliantly conceived, meticulously researched, a compelling read!

As a member of a writer's group, I was impressed at the number of rave reviews I was seeing for Paula Rose Michelson's "No Other Choice: The Naomi Chronicles, Book One."

Like most men, I am not naturally drawn to the genre of romance fiction, but after several months of reading glowing reviews, my curiosity won out. Then, too, I have a love for "all things history," and this was a work of historical fiction in an area about which I knew very little.

Marvelously researched, and rich in cultural flavor this is a beautiful tapestry of interwoven lives, each one touched, whether knowingly or unknowingly, by the insidious influences that helped to shape them, their prejudices, and their beliefs.

The story line, with its unexpected twists, is brilliantly conceived, and the author builds an empathy for her characters that has the reader caring about them before the tale is half told. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read, and a window into a world I did not know still existed well into our modern times.

At the end, I read the ‘Historical Notes’ and the authors interviews titled ‘Sephardic Voices’ where three people shared the reality upon which this fiction becomes historical.  I was dumbfounded to discover that something I had relegated to the dusty, ‘man's atrocities to man through the ages’ category, did NOT end hundreds of years ago. Rather, it destroyed, or wreaked havoc on, every life it touched for an incredible 500 years, finally breathing its last as the end to the 20th century drew near. And it is near the end of this centuries-old backdrop of contrasting cruelty and suffering, seething hatred and quiet resolve, which the `The Naomi Chronicles’ saga begins.' Available in Kindle: http://amzn.to/1tN7hEp

                                              About the Author
As a Messianic Jew, Paula Rose Michelson wanted to write about life, love, choices, and forgiveness. She researched what befell the Jews baptized into the Catholic faith to survive the Inquisition. When I began writing, Naomi started talking to me.

Though her story is unique, Naomi's issues of fear and hiding are universal. Having an extensive background in recovery as a Chemical Dependency - Lifestyle Disorder Councilor, worked with The Rubicon Center, and founded LAMB Ministries in 1988 to mentor women suffering from trauma and abuse, the author knows the issues Naomi has are those seen in anyone who is masking their real pain. That is why six inspirational romances were written, three of which have been published.
