About the Author
The wife of Lutheran Pastor and Chosen People Ministries field missionary, Ron Michelson, while a Church Ministries Coordinator for the mission her husband continues to serve in, Paula Rose Michelson asked God to gift her something unique to do. Little did she know that hearing David Hocking speak about Zion being both the land of Eretz Yisrael (Israel) and the Jewish people would lead her to research what befell the Spanish Jews (Sephardic) before, during and after the Inquisition. Beginning to write, word spread and some Sephardim contacted her to offer their stories. However, Naomi had already begun telling this dyslectic artist about her life, which is now a six volume romantic inspirational faith saga.

Other books - both fiction and nonfiction followed - but at her core, Paula's desire to faithfully depict Gods love, compassion, and forgiveness are the reason she continues to write. And having founded LAMB Ministries in 1988, Paula knows that the biblical tools God taught her, which she faithfully passes on to women suffering from trauma and abuse are needed by all, so she includes a few within the pages of each book.

Author, Delores Ayotte exclaimed in her 5 Star Review, “True Love!”

 ✫✫✫✫✫ NOW 99 CENTS! ✫✫✫✫✫
"Beginning Anew" is the third book I have read and reviewed in the captivating "The Naomi Chronicles Saga” and it certainly won't be the last if there are more novels to come by talented Author Paula Rose Michelson.
It felt like I was visiting some very old and dear friends as I was quickly drawn into their intriguing lives yet again.

As Chaz and Naomi have reaffirmed their marriage vows and are about to resume where they left off after their very unfortunate and painful separation, Chaz is still consumed with guilt for the unkind way he treated Naomi when he discovered her religious background. Full of remorse and with a somewhat clearer understanding of not only her heritage but his as well, they both set their minds to starting over and beginning anew in their yet to be consummated marriage. As to be expected, they are truly blessed with the love they have for each other and now they must learn to cherish, respect, and be totally honest with one another as they grow in that love.

Chaz has a surprise for Naomi...a beautiful hand carved sign hung above the entrance to the recently remodeled casa. Naomi prefers that it be placed above the former grandmother's home behind the main house, since they have decided to live there...but I won't tell you why and spoil... When Tio Luis comes over to make the change, he begins to share the history of the casa when, in the early 1900's Vieda came to live in Spanish Harlem with her papa. Naomi thinks he has misspelled Tia Vida's name. However, she is soon...

Chaz and Naomi are determined to share, "...the unique gift of being able to come together, fully known, and still be loved."

There are new secrets to be uncovered, and when Teresa gives Vieda's journal to Naomi to assist her in helping Chaz better understand his heritage, Naomi gets a much better understanding of Vieda. The more she reads, the more she is captivated and intrigued by her personal story. Strange things start to happen to her...it is as if Vieda is now communicating directly to her. Naomi senses her presence and can mysteriously play the piano like she has never played before. It is as if Vieda is now reliving her life through the eyes of Naomi. Although this concept is beyond Naomi's comprehension, she knows she must follow through with reading Vieda's journal in order to have closure not only for Vieda but for her and Chaz as well.

"Beginning Anew" is yet another incredible romantic novel in this fictional saga penned by gifted Author Paula Rose Michelson. I could not put this book down as I was so captivated by the storyline with its rare combination of fact.....the history of the persecution of the hidden Jews and fiction....the enticing love story between Chaz and Naomi whereby they have the opportunity to discover "echad" in the deep abiding love uniquely found in a God-centered marriage. This author truly demonstrates her faith in her own words as she states..."God is faithful! Whatever he has called you to do, when you step out in faith, as I did, God will meet you and together you will become more than a conqueror!" Her books testify this belief and her personal relationship with Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). A rare gem indeed!”    http://amzn.to/1g4WSvF

NOW 99 Cents! Lindsay Townsend's 5 STAR Review says, “A Sweet Romance that is also a Journey of Faith”

“A bride and groom write letters of faith, hope and love to each other, a richly romantic gesture. They have discovered a new home for both of them, generously given. Will this home become a house of blessing?

As Naomi and Chaz begin their lives together, each embracing a deep religious heritage, they must learn to trust and to accept each other. All is not perfect.

 Naomi is highly strung and used to managing things in her own way. Chaz is beginning to understand the responsibilities of being the head of their new household. The pair also encounters some ugly bitterness because of their faith.

The evil of anti-Semitism is powerfully revealed, and so are Chaz's very real spiritual struggles as he comes to terms with a faith that is both old and new to him. Reading 'Beginning Anew' I was saddened to learn that such religious intolerance still exists, and shocked at the speed that 'friends' could change so swiftly from welcoming Chaz to turning away from him.

Yet there is much to celebrate: friendships and support, the blessings of small and large gifts and sweet considerations, such as dining at a restaurant where the table for every newly-wed couple is laid using the same tablecloth as the restaurant owners did on their wedding day.

The novel is full of fascinating insights into the Spanish Jews and also the American-Spanish Jews. I also really enjoyed the way Paula Rose Michelson describes and illuminates the light and love of marriage: the delights of the couple learning each other, the taking care of each other in sickness and health, and the rich anticipation of marriage, of becoming one. Their union is spiritual first and the struggles of the young couple to defer their earthly marriage until the right moment are charmingly and tellingly shown.

There are large themes in this novel: the search and yearning for family, the personal impact that the Jewish diaspora had on people and families. Naomi must search for her family but fears that they might not accept her now. And will two religious communities with deep shared roots: Jews and Christians accept each other? At the end of the story there is hope.” http://amzn.to/1g4WSvF

A Cup of Tea a Friend and Me

I wrote the poem posted below in the 90's when a friend asked me to speak at a party - sales event to announce that she'd become a Longaberger rep. She wanted to use this event to share what mattered to her, so she asked me to share something encouraging. Since we'd gotten to know each other while attending a women's Wednesday Bible study followed by lunching with some of those dears, I knew the message would be about us and God, but she left the details to me.  After writing this poem, I shared it with her. Only then did I discover that God had gifted me what she needed.

Today seems light years away from those precious days. Today it seems many are happy to receive until the one giving becomes needy. These times seem different. Yet, our Lord is the same today, yesterday, tomorrow & forever. As you read what God gifted me, please ask Him to show you what kind of friend you need and what kind of friend you are. For many on Social Media, you may be the only 'friend' they have who knows the 'Lover of their Soul'.

A Cup of Tea a Friend and Me
Today I listened with my heart, to a friend’s deep pain.
I hugged her as she cried, knowing her weeping would become her gain.
Today I spent time with one of Gods precious ones,
Drank deep her special needs, while I tried to emulate your son,
The man of heavily deeds.

I boiled the water,
Steeped the tea.
Then entered into a time honored ritual of serving her,
Then me.
Her first, for she was my guest, then I.

Warm soothing liquid in a cherished cup poured out.
Would there be time to explore what this visit was really about?
I sat with my friend as we sipped our cup of tea,
Which wrapped us in warmth on this chilling day,
Allowing us to stop and wonder anew about your thoughtful way.

For you, Oh Lord, sustain us no matter the personal cost to You.
You continue to enrich our lives with friends both old and new.
Every time I share my ritual cup of tea with a friend in Christ,
I realize how wonderful you are.
How you have fashioned my life into something very nice.

So as I stand at the kitchen sink washing up the cups,
I want you Lord to know that you have truly filled me up.
Filled me with love and joy, and, oh yes, with one thing more,
A longing to be your woman on earth,
To teach others hearts to soar.

For each heart that I can reach through a simple act of love,
Like listening, praying, and asking from guidance from above,
Reminds me that the only thing that can sustain my friend and me,
 Around our cup of friendship tea,
Is an affirmation that all good things come from thee!

With New Back Matter, [I] Finally Got IT RIGHT!

After a few tries here's what I learned.
1.   An author of faith stories, I weave that into my books Back Matter. Some may tell you that what's on the back of a book doesn't matter. But, iyour cover art and title grab the shopper, great Back Matter can sell your book.
2.    Share your characters felt needs so readers bond with them.
3.    If you've Scripture in your book sharing one or two shows that Christ is important to you and will be to your characters.
4.   Adding a great review gives shoppers another person's point of view.
~~~~~~
Here is my new Back Matter for my faith fictions:
No Other Choice, Choosing to Be & Beginning Anew
in which I site the Scripture for a characters felt need
hint at what's to come by mentioning
a Titus 2 Woman & Blessings Rock & there is a review for each book
~~~~~~~~~
NO OTHER CHOICE
In this first book of Naomi’s faith journey we see what happens when we deny who we are and what we believe to achieve our dreams. Bound by secrets, trapped by choices, Naomi is about to discover that life is not what you plan but what happens.

Naomi journeys from adolescence to womanhood, from frightened isolation and captivity to the noble status of heiress. Trapped in a life where all who know her think her a saint, saddled with a mission and responsibilities, Naomi agrees to marry to sidestep more issues and the couples tangled web escalates for neither are what they seem to be.

As a Jew, Naomi knows the promise of Genesis 12:3 by heart and often repeats “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” When she hears Isaiah 53:5 “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed,” will she believe?

EDITORIAL REVIEW: “A faith based read about love, life and forgiveness there are things we are commissioned to do in our Christian walk, but life choices can make these things seem to be pushed far back and our fleshy desires forefront.”  — Reviews by SweetReadz Mag
CHOOSING to BE
In the second of the six faith stories, we see a bride in flight rather than deal with the fall out of revealed secrets. Now Naomi has nothing and no one. But God is about to gift her everything if, finding herself embraced by people who care, she discovers the ‘Lover of her Soul’.

Will Naomi’s friendship with a ‘Titus 2 Woman’ and the blessings found at ‘Blessings Rock’ bring her to Christ? Can a husband who refuses to forgive handle what he discovers when visiting his family? Is there is more between Chaz and Naomi than their unfulfilled longing?

Upon hearing Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you,” quoted by his family for the first time after his hidden reality is revealed, will God show Chaz what is true?

When Elí tells Chaz, “No, I am perfectly sane. It is the world that is crazy because they do not realize that the one who died for our sins was the Messiah of Israel—the Jewish Savior!” will the break though Chaz’s unbelief or can finding a dreidel at his uncles archaeological dig help Chaz become the man God created him to be?  http://amzn.to/1zK3rPC

EDITORIAL REVIEW: “A fascinating layered read, the tension between characters leaves you breathless in anticipation. I admit I had to cheat a little and check to make sure there was a happily ever after! Never fear! There is! The plot twists, turns and carries you all the way to the end hoping Chaz and Naomi find each other again! For those looking for a great book... pick it up!” - Kitty Muse Book Reviews
BEGINNING ANEW
In book three of Naomi and Chaz’s faith journey, after a month of soul searching and finally believing in Messiah the newlyweds wed again.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 ‘There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” During this season of revelations the couple discovers each other’s secrets and now with a marriage built upon faith in their Savior there are challenges for Chaz is an internationally known and sought after philanthropist, and Naomi the Las Niña’s Tía committed to rescuing teenage girls from immigration.

Will Naomi learn to trust Chaz? Ephesians 5:22 “Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.”

Will Chaz love and protect his wife? Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”

EDITORAIL REVIEW: “A heroine learning to love the man she needs and a hero in love with a woman whose duty is tearing her apart. Together they find the strength to face their fears with love built upon an unshakable faith. Author Paula Rose Michelson captures the complexities of human emotion like few authors I've read. Passion, duty, fear, revenge, courage, prejudice and love are woven into this truly gripping story which so well illustrates that which makes us human.” - William Struse

Are You Using BITLY’s & HOOTSUITE’s Additional Tools?

If you’re like me, and I bet you are since there’s a lot of us out there, you use Bitly to shorten a URL link and Hootsuite for scheduling your tweets when you’re away, editing or living life with a capitol ‘L’!

And if your nodding your head, this post if for YOU because like me, you didn’t notice, or maybe got too involved in other stuff to wonder why Bitly’s full title is ‘Bitly Marketing’. I mention this because for me the most obvious advantage of checking Bitly’s performance metrics often are the diagrams that give percentages of every tweet the system formats for you. Click the Bitly tweet you want to check and you’ll see the number of times it was retweeted during the stated time interval and the number of clicks on the Bitly link that takes shoppers directly to your book or product.

Decide to direct Kindle buyers to a specific review, just click that reviews title and it will appear as a unique URL link. Copy that link, shorten it using Bitly’s free system and you can see how many times that book review was tweeted and how many shoppers clicked the Bitly link to check out your book!

Because ‘Bitly Marketing’ takes the guess work out of tweeting and shows you what works, in this entry phase it’s a great tool to use all the time.

Now Hootsuite lets the mega tweeter tweet - depending upon what you’re willing to pay - to hundreds of Social Media sites or groups. The downfall of using Hootsuite this way is threefold;

1. The shotgun tweeter or social media poster is so busy setting the system up that with so much data derived it takes too long to glean the facts so that data is overlooked in favor of the fun of playing the game.

2. Those using Twitter know you have to tweet for others so they’ll tweet for you in this ‘pay to play’ system. Therefore, discovering the metrics might sound iffy since you’d have to sift through all of the tweets you tweeted to find yours, unless – and here’s what I suggest – you post something unique in each of your tweets to identify them.

3. If the system or the places your shotgun posting to suspect you’re doing this your account can and most likely at some point will be suspended. Leaving you with zero ability to connect with people you became friendly with but not friendly enough to exchange contact information.

In my Tweet Campaigns 4 Christian Books Group and other groups I tweet with its easy for me to see when members tweet for me because I add my @PaulaWordsmith1 to the tweets I posted 4 others. This way I’m able to see if group members are as faithful at retweeting for me as I am for them. Using each groups unique hash-tag, I'm able to visit that Twitter feed and retweet other members’ tweets if I’m not able to post their tweet myself.

Since it would be a waste of critical letters to add my @ info to my own Tweets when Tweeter does that for me, I can format my Tweet differently, use an unusually identifying marker, or – and this is my favorite – just make sure to check a few times a day to see what’s what. I know that sounds corny but having worked for ‘Creative Data’ and done the now famous ‘Pepsi Challenge’ as well as many other statistical surveys, I know old data is as good as champagne that’s flat. I say that because for data to be valid it must be current and accurate.

Therefore, looking at your Hootsuite retweets isn’t going to give you the full picture because what you’re looking is broader than that. Chats with likeminded people, whether one, two or twenty who get you and you them can do more to help you than a thousand nameless tweeters. So when you set up your ‘streams’ make sure to add ‘messages' and 'mentions’ and chat back. Checking all streams a few times a day when you’re able to interact with those whose work interests you. Doing what generations before us did by making connections with people who you’d have a coffee with if you could will do more for you than all the stuff being thrown out there because we only get together for a chat whether Facebook or Twitter if there is a connection.

Lastly, and this is an observation of mine – like the kids in the movie Goonies we need to be looking for the good stuff. Continue to tweet or post the same information and we are most likely deluding ourselves because like those Goonies, most people who don’t know us are attracted to the good stuff! Sure you may see the numbers of retweets on the tweets you’ve been tweeting for some time stay constant. However, with many scheduling your tweets a month in advance on a regular tweet for retweet system seeing that tweet does not mean that a real person who is active on Twitter at that time tweeted it for you.

My best suggestion is that you stay actively involved in Twitter and continue to be creative because whether you’re an author like me, or someone wanting to connect for other reasons unless we stay involved the system may not give us what we want, which is - I believe - to connect with other like minded people who see you as an assist they'd like to cultivate as you do them.

Meet CJ Peterson, a Passionate Author! Check Out Her Books! Celebrate Her Newly Release Winter’s Verdict: Grace Restored, Book Two!

Author Interview: C.J. Peterson

1) How your interest in writing originated?  What inspired you to write your first book? As every writer knows, a writer is generally a bookworm first. I did have the opportunity in first grade to write a cute little book for an assignment. It wasn’t until I was in my twenties did I think, ‘Hey! I can do that!’ As Toni Morrison says, “If there is a book you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, you must be the one to write it.” …And, I did!

2) Is there a message in your novels you want your readers to grasp? There are many messages that can be found within the pages of my books. The main one is the message of Jesus Christ. I make sure the salvation message is in each of my books. The other main message is that no matter what you are going through, the Lord is going through it with you, and He’ll never leave you, and that He has a massive plan for you! Sometimes it takes us going through those storms to make us a stronger person, or allows us to help someone else through. Regardless of which category you identify with, always keep in mind Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Another great verse that I often share is, Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

3) What books influenced you the most? If you choose a mentor who would it be and why?
The main ones are the Bible, along with The Left Behind Series, and The Chronicles of Narnia. Those particular books challenge me to think. I like books that challenge the ‘norm’ and allow you to see things in a different light.
I don’t really have an actual mentor, but there are quite a few people who I would go to if I needed advice. That list is short, but I trust them, and know they’ll give me an honest answer…whether or not it’s what I want to hear, it’s honest, and I appreciate honesty.

4) Please tell us about your current work with us. I’m working on the Grace Restored Series. Katie MacKenna’s story is one that is full of grace and overcoming her past. The Lord takes her through many trials, yet never once leaves her.

The first book of this series is SEASONS OF CHANGE, which was released in December. The second, WINTER’S VERDICT was just released, so I’m working on books 3 & 4 of this 5 book series.

5) What is the hardest part of writing your books? Were there challenges (research, literary, psychological, or logistical) in bringing it to life? To me, writing is easy. I sit down, pray, and type, letting God guide my thoughts and fingers. At this point, the biggest challenge is editing – my arch nemesis! Thankfully, I have an awesome husband who reads each book aloud with me, and I have a terrific editor who has an immense amount of patience!

6) Did you have challenges in publishing your first book? If could go back and do it again, what would you change in your publishing experience? The biggest challenge was in finding a publisher. My books are not your ‘traditional’ Christian fiction books. My characters go through it all – saved or not. As a matter of fact, most of my characters find the Lord along their walk. Anyway, because I don’t ‘fit the mold’ of what a lot of traditional Christian publishers want, I have opted to self-publish through the POD (print-on-demand) company, Booklocker.com. Angela and Richard are great to work with, and they paired me with a phenomenal cover artist, Todd Engel. This team has worked with me in publishing all of my books.
As an Indie author, it has given me a benefit I never knew existed. The Indie author world is getting bigger each day, and most of us know that not every book is for every reader, so the support we grant each other has also helped me in my success.

As far as what I would change? Ideally, I would love to go through a Christian publishing company, but as I said, I tend to not fit the mold they like their books to fit in. I have yet to find a publisher that would allow me the opportunity to publish with them.
Having said that, the books have taken off in a gradual growth, which is ideal. That tells me that they are getting passed around via word-of-mouth, which is the best possible scenario. If someone likes your work, they will tell their friends. To me, that’s an honor!

7) Do you use an outline or do you just write? Oh! I am the poster child for a ‘pantser’ (a.k.a.: write by the seat of my pants). I literally sit down with an idea usually triggered by a song, pray, and start typing. While I have an idea of what direction I want the books to go in, the characters tend to take over and the story goes a completely different way than I originally intended. I love that I don’t even know how the books will end!

8) Do you ever experience writer’s block? If so, how do you combat it? Well, as I said, I sit down and type. I type until I can’t type anymore. Then I put the book up for a few days before I pull it back down, read the last portion written, and keep writing. So, to answer your question, nope, I don’t get writer’s block. What I do as well, is continuously play the song that triggered the book to begin with, along with a set play list. I can tell you what songs triggered what books – they may surprise you!

9) What do you consider to be your best accomplishment? My best accomplishment in what? In writing, it’s getting the books published. It’s the lives and hearts that are touched by the words in the books. In life, it’s the blessing I get in having a wonderful, supportive husband who honors Jesus Christ. I also have a blessed opportunity to be a youth group leader. While my husband works with the 9th and 10th grade boys, I get to work with the junior high girls (my current group is 7th grade girls). I love that we both get to pour into the lives of the young adults in our church and community!

10) Is there anything you would like to say to your readers and fans? Yes! I consider it an honor that you picked up my books and took time to read them. THANK YOU!! I pray they have touched your heart and life, and love to hear from you! When I get a message from any of my readers, I cherish them, knowing they took time out of their lives to get in contact with me. If you would like to contact me, all of my contact information is on: cjpetersonwrites.com home page.

Also, thank you so much Paula, for having me on your blog! I appreciate the opportunity you have given me, and pray that the Lord blesses you, as much as you have been a blessing to others, including me! J
C.J. Peterson Biography:

C.J. Peterson grew up in a Christian military home, but it was far from tranquil. Many of life’s lessons were hard ones. Like many people, she walked with God, wandered away from God, and back again, finally landing in her adopted home, where she finally found out what the real love of a family felt like.

Also, after a long time of searching, C.J. found her husband, a 24-year Navy Veteran. His support and love was the encouragement she needed to rekindle the creativity she thought she lost long ago. With her first release in NOV2012 a stand-alone, she continued on to produce the first book of The Holy Flame Trilogy, released AUG2013, called THE CALL TO DUTY. The other two books, OPERATION A.N.G.E.L. and ANGELS AMONG US followed closely after. Then, in DEC2014, the first book in the Grace Restored Series, SEASONS OF CHANGE came out, followed by the new release, WINTER’S VERDICT just in the last week. The next three books should be out by year’s end.

A portion of the trilogy and the Grace Restored series go to various charities, allowing her to give back. To learn more about how to get a great read and their links, along with the information of the charities she is donating to and their web sites, click on the ‘Books’ tab of her web site.

THE CALL TO DUTY:

"We all know emergencies never take a day off. We all know for each one of us claimed, another has to step up to continue taking care of our fellow citizens. Our job is to protect and to server. Our job is to care for the injured, to help those who need it, and to take down the beast known to us as fire. This beast tries to claim whatever and whomever it can. We all have a call to duty, which we have sworn to perform."

Courageous. Brave. Fearless. Valiant. These synonyms are often used to describe firefighters/paramedics, police officers, and military personnel. They face danger and lay their lives on the line when they leave for work. What are their struggles? Could that hinder their job proficiency? Who is taking care of those who are taking care of the citizens of this country?

Casey Carter is a 'newbie' to the firefighting family of Engine Company 15. Not only does she have to prove herself as a probationary firefighter, but she also has to battle misconceptions of females within her newly chosen profession. As situations begin to arise, can she count on the firefighter brotherhood to have her back? Will she be able to pass the tests placed before her, or are there aspects that she was not even aware existed?

Often in life there are two realms in play. There is the physical realm - what is right before you; the other is the spiritual realm - what is unseen. Each can directly affect you, whether you believe they exist or not. Can Casey keep them in balance when she is not exactly sure what she is fighting? Can a group of men help her see what cannot be readily seen, hear what cannot be readily heard, and be able to overcome what she never knew existed? Will they be able to show Casey her true Call To Duty?

Ephesians 6:12-13:  12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

ANGELS AMONG US:

This is the third and final book in The Holy Flame Trilogy, which follows the life-changing events that surround Casey Carter (a firefighter/paramedic from Engine Company Fifteen of Denver, Colorado) and an elite, special operations unit called A.N.G.E.L. (Available to Nurture God’s Eternal Love).

With help from a unique band of characters in the Outback, Casey Carter was able to work through her past. However, would it prepare her for what was to come? The battle is forming. Both sides are amassing their troops as allies align, but will there be enough remaining Angels for them to win? Without knowing the day nor the hour, will they be prepared?

What kind of battle would this be if the Angels of flesh and blood were battling against the unseen powers of darkness? This may be the deciding factor in Casey's struggle for freedom, but will the remaining Angels survive or will it be their final battle?

Revelation 12:12 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! For the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

SEASONS OF CHANGE:
Katie MacKenna experienced one storm after another in her life. When Leukemia stole her mother from her and her father, Katie was only seven-years-old, and her father didn’t know how to cope after such a catastrophic loss. His response was to shut down and become abusive. The overwhelming devastation which surrounded Katie throughout her journey in life forced her to shut down just to survive as well.

Trust is a difficult thing for many people, but for Katie it’s virtually impossible. Every life has Seasons of Change. Will those seasons open Katie to new opportunities or will they forever isolate her in survival mode? Will she be able to overcome the storms that have surrounded her to answer a call for help?

Ecclesiastes 3:1-4: 1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.

WINTER'S VERDICT:

Winter’s Verdict is the second book in the Grace Restored Series. After graduation from high school in the small Oklahoma town of West Springs, Katie MacKenna decided to start her life over in Cleveland, Ohio. Taking into account her roommate and closest friend over the last couple of years in college, Jillian Shaw, was murdered by a serial rapist on campus just before break, Katie chose to stay on the nearly deserted campus instead of returning home to her abusive father. During break, she is approached with an opportunity that may affect her aspirations to be an FBI agent. In the meantime, she also builds a friendship with Giovanni, the mafia leader’s son. Things around her are confusing at best. Can she trust what is right before her when everything is not as it seems? Will her heart experience a winter thaw or will she forever be known as the Ice Queen?

John 3:19-21 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
