Please Welcome poet, Feon Davis, author of Footsteps of Faith (Volume 2)

Feon, why do you write? I write what is given to me in the name of Jesus Words for hope, peace, love for what reason I do not know only he does.

Interesting, and how did God direct you? He whispers to my spirit the words intend for me to write. Despite how I am feeling for he has all control.

What is your self-publishing or regular publishing experience? I learned that it cost either way. However, having marketing tools is a BIGGER help along with editing to back you up.

Since many wonder about us authors, please tell us where do you write? Mostly at home. But this depends on my spirit sense through God.

Feon, do you have any words of wisdom to pass along? Pray before writing and ask God to guide you hand, heart, and mind.

What Readers Are Saying
"Feon, you have truly found the true spiritual walk and all through the book, you lead others to see God’s love. Sometimes poets struggle to achieve, but you give yourself to Jesus in every way in the book, thus establishing a path for others to follow. An awesome work, I am so proud of your work. Keep writing from your heart and your poetry will always be whole. This new book of poems is very beautiful and spiritual guaranteed to uplift many hearts! May your writing will help others always to keep the faith!" – Dorothy E. Scott

"Within Footsteps of Faith are 55 beautiful pages from this talented Christian author. That the Miss. Davis has been writing since she was nine years old helped me understand how she was able to convey from her heart to our souls using our Lord’s language to share the joy of Him in vivid poetry and prose. Any ‘disability’ Feon may have suffered at birth when she was deprived of oxygen has been decisively and brilliantly overcome. In leading others to see His love she established a path for others to follow. This is a book I can recommend – both for personal reading and also as a gift book. A well-earned five stars and GOD BLESS you Feon. I look forward to reading more of your works." – Eliza E.

Author, Joy DeKok & I chat about Writing & her Amazing Novel, BETWEEN THE LIES

Joy, why do you write? My fascination with words started when I was four and taught myself to read and write. I love words and they are part of who I am. Putting them on pages is almost as important as breathing. Wow! I’m trying to imagine you writing at four years old when many that age don’t know their alphabet!

Joy, how did God direct you? After coming to faith in Jesus, my first response was to write about it. I've been doing that ever since. First in letters and poetry. Then in stories. So many authors, myself included, began by writing poetry.

Joy, please share your publishing experience. I was traditionally published first. It was okay. Then I discovered self-publishing and love it. It's hard work either way, and I'm not declaring one way better for everyone. But self-publishing works better for me.

Joy, where do you write? Wherever I am. I have an office in our home, I work for my husband part-time in his insurance office and in the quiet times I also write there. I love the seclusion of my personal life, but now and then need the energy I find in a coffee shop. Or on a writing retreat with friends. I relate needing a quiet place to write. Also, I think each of us would love to have a breakaway with friends!

Joy, do you have any words of wisdom to pass along? Trust God. Write from your heart. Be brave. Writing true. A great insight, which I believe applies to anything we peruse!

FYI: If you love to read books by bestselling authors Lynn Cahoon, Shelley Hitz, and Barbara Freethy, I know once you’ve read one of Joy DeKok’s novels you’ll be a fan for life! If you use Amazon’s ‘Follow’ feature, you’ll always know when her new book is available!

Between the Lies (The Northern Lights Series Book 1)
Olivia Morgan was fine. Until the dead guy in the elevator, her married lover's disdain, the loss of her dream job, and an FBI agent who is looking into the past she's worked so hard to hide. All she wanted was the perfect life; the love of a wealthy man, a beautiful place to live, and to be an art teacher. She didn't mind doing what it took to get those things, and for ten years, she had it all - almost.

Plus, someone is watching her - someone who knows things and how to get to her without being seen.

To prove she's innocent of at least one of the murders she may have committed, Olivia uses her ability to notice what others often miss, and her art to remember and reveal what she knows.
Will her sketches save or convict her?

What Readers Are Saying
“DeKok slowly peels away layers of pain, heartache, and deception to reveal the true heartbeats of her characters, making Between the Lies nail-biting suspense with heart and soul.” —  Author of the bestselling Fredrickson Winery Novels, Barbara Ellen Brink

“DeKok's new mystery is one of those books that haunted me from page one. Meaning, when I wasn't reading, the story kept drawing me back, making me wish I could set everything else aside and just finish it! I loved that Olivia wasn't the usual stereotypical heroine. In fact, most of us would be appalled at her secret life. Yet, as the story unfolds and her life begins to unravel and secrets come out of the closet (literally), you can't help but wish for her to find her way. The twist and turns of the intricate plot line made for a fascinating story. I'm so thrilled this is book one of a series and look forward to reading more about these colorful characters. I'd rate Between the Lies right up there with titles by two of my favorite authors, Chris Fabry and Creston Mapes. Well done, Joy DeKok!” —  Bestselling author, Diane Moody

Between the Lies is rich on multiple levels: the intricate plot has enough twists and sudden reveals to please the most demanding mystery fan, the settings ring true, and the characters are lined with a fine and discerning eye. Olivia Morgan is a crackerjack heroine, cursed with a nightmare childhood but charged with a determined grit that will see her through this.” — Author, John Robinson

#5Stars! From the Macro to the Micro this Topsy-Turvy story is a MUST READ!

Author M. Flanagan's novel, Jonah is written with a lyrical cadence at the onset, and takes us from the macro to the micro as the author shows us needs and unseen provision settling at last on Jonah and his family. Here, M. Flanagan shows us a particular need, which we all have. Then she does the unthinkable that had me scratching my head in amazement, for this well-grounded story is turned topsy-turvy and suddenly our ‘Jonah’ is the ‘Jonah’ who refused to go to Nineveh.

So as not to spoil the outcome, all I can say this is a Must Read Story! Whether you love to read the Bible or ancient books or not, I believe you will absolutely relish this novel, and be looking for this authors next book as eagerly as I am doing now! amzn.to/1QOYmv6

About Author, Rina (M.) Flanagan
Rina Flanagan
Rina (M.) Flanagan grew up in Africa, dodging snakes, elephants, teasing uncles and cousins, and other even scarier imagined things... and somehow survived to tell the tale, or tales! She speaks four languages plus some remembered fragments of pidgin-African-English. Rina has three university degrees, is married, and divides her time between New Zealand and a favorite part of the Southwest USA where she has trained mustangs with gentle methods.

Believing that there is more than enough disturbing news in the world, Rina writes about mostly that which encourages and motivates.

My #5Star Review of A RELUCTANT MELODY by Sandra Ardoin

A Spellbinding Tour de Force about Forgiveness, Redemption & Love!
Having read and loved, Author Sandra Ardoin's ‘The Yuletide Angel’, I knew I would enjoy her newest novel as well! Layers of tension, longing, and secrets are woven artfully into the lives of this historical fiction played out against the moral strictures of the 1800's in North Carolina.

Now that Kit Barnes has seen Joanna Stewart six year after he used her shamefully and threw her away condemning both of them to live lives of regret will each finally be able to reconcile? Or will their secret yearning for each other be denied?

The themes of temptation, repentance, forgiveness, and love are sown like fine silk thread on brocade within this taunt telling where the characters must decide to believe in man's opinion of them or trust that Gods Word is true and He can redeem them.

The culmination of this book left me speechless, for though no one really knows either of them, both Kit and Joanna have to face their moral crucible and should they choose to believe what people think of them they are lost.

This story drew me closer to the Lord, and as an author made me wish I had written this book! amzn.to/1RPxewj

Writing NO OTHER CHOICE now a #5Star #99Cent Amazon Bestselling Inspirational Romance!

No Other Choice: The Naomi Chronicles, Book 1
An illegal immigrant ~ Bound by secrets ~ Trapped by choices ~ An arranged marriage ~ A forbidden love ~ Will Naomi be able to tell her husband about herself before someone else does?
***********
Many wonder how a first time author could write, Naomi could still hear herself scream, ‘Abuela Sosa, please do not be dead,’ sobbing while she had tried to shake the old woman awake. The next thing she remembered was that the old woman’s daughter-in-law had packed her meager belongings into her suitcase. Unable to stop herself, she demanded, ‘You have no need of me anymore? I gave you a year of my life! Your esposo—I mean, your husband—promised he would help me enter America and search for my uncle if I took care of his madre!’” This is my story.

Writer to Amazon Bestselling Inspirational Romance
Ten years ago, I gifted a friend, who publishes Messianic authors, one of my framed writings. Whenever we met, she asked if I was perusing my craft. Six years later, I heard Messianic Pastor, David Hocking speak about Israel being the land and the people. I wondered about the hidden Jews, asked God to show them to me while I was petitioning him to give me something to do that no one had done. Wishing to do something to advance the gospel, I meet with my publisher friend, and spoke of potential projects. She asked me what I would do if I could write anything. Suddenly David Hocking’s message, my desire to discover the hidden Jews, and share the gospel coalesced. I knew what I was going to write about.

I researched theAppalachian Trail, and wrote character sketches for two of the three women who would meet while hiking. However, I could not write about this Sephardic Jew named Naomi, because her people were an enigma to me. While lunching with friends, I discovered that two of them were Spanish Jews. Another friend had married a Sephardic Jew. Months of research prepared me to begin writing Naomi’s character sketch. Since my publisher friend asked me to send her my dailies, I did. Forty days later she informed me that I was writing a book. She suggested that I go back three days, and read what I had written. When I did, I discovered that she was right. However, I was not writing the book I had intended to write, but the one God wanted me to write!

As I wrote, the characters told me their stories. Once they stopped speaking, the book was finished. I spoke with some of my writer/author friends, and discovered that hearing the characters was a blessing all writers long for. Therefore, I proudly proclaim that I am a scribe for God!

God's Word - My Plea

<3 <3 <3 In this season of political posturing, many running for office are telling us how they'll fix our country. I hope believers will bless our Nation, Under God by sharing the LORD's blessings. For only in Messiah will our world be healed, one person at a time. Jesus came to do this. He asks each believer to continue he's mission. Since “The fields are ripe for harvest" (John 4:35 bit.ly/1pqmRG9) let each of us do everything we can to call others to Him! <3 <3 <3
