Why Writing Book Reviews is IMPORTANT 2 Me

In the last two months, I’ve written 13 reviews all of them for 5-Star reads! One of the 13 reviews is for a cozy mystery written by a non-Christian. I mention this because my heart’s desire in all things is to show my readers, and yes – readers of my books know and Do check out my Amazon reviews posted at: https://goo.gl/qm8a - that my desire as my bio on Amazon author page says, is to, “Faithfully depict Gods love, compassion, and forgiveness while showing her readers The Jewish Messiah of Israel and the world parallel her wish to see those who feel 'less than' restored to wholeness.”

Though I wish other authors would endeavor to do as I have, I know that each is called according to their gifts and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Where I find joy in giving Christian authors books 5-Star and occasionally 4-Star reviews knowing that many will be built up or come to faith in their Messiah because of what was written, others are not called to do this as often as I have.

However, since I do know that when a newly released book receives 50 good reviews within the first 30 days of release Amazon makes this book more visible. My prayer for all who read this is that each of you take the time to write and post reviews asap so that those who read and those searching for the only thing that matters for eternity will find what they seek.

Yours in Messiah <><

2 Celebrate Release Day 4 "TWISTED", I interview author DiAne Gates!

DiAne,
Thanks for letting me interview you about the release of Twisted. I think the questions I’ll ask are the those that readers would if they had the chance.

WHERE DID THE ROPED AND TWISTED STORIES BEGIN?
Like everyone’s story—people I met, places I’d been, things I’d seen. Life. Everyone has a story, Paula. And for every story told or written lives change and hearts are touched. And I’d like to ask your readers, what story percolates in them, begging to be told? When are they going to write their story? After all, none of us are getting any younger.
And that’s why I write, speak, and teach. To encourage people to tell their story. To share their experiences. To let people know what you’ve learned. You may never know this side of heaven whose life will be touched and changed by reading what God taught you. And you can be sure God allowed the circumstances of your story to occur, not just for you, but for those He puts in your path who long to hear about how you made it through that difficult journey to the other side.

HOW CAN I BEGIN A STORY?
Story telling is like planting a seed. Just a speck that springs to life in your mind, develops roots, sprouts to the surface, and blooms. Every one of us needs to ask God to clarify the events He’s taken us through. Asking our self what’s your take away? Asking others what they learn from our story—just give them the high points. Don’t bore them with the tiny details. Then begin recording what God lays on your heart. Your first draft will be rough; but it’s thrilling to sit in front of your screen and pour out words that originate in your heart. And if seeing the words come to life makes you cry, so much the better! Every writer must bleed on the page.

MUST I SPEND COUNTLESS HOURS IN FRONT OF THE COMPUTER?
The majority of writing time is spent thinking. You can do that anywhere—washing dishes, ironing clothes, weeding the flower bed.  Even taking a bath. Writers don’t come equipped with off and on buttons. I keep a pencil and paper with me at all times. I’ve even been known to jot a note or two during my windshield time. And I’ve waked from a sound sleep with a phrase, twist in plot, or idea to make my work in progress sing. But my best thinking time is in the bathtub. One of my writer friends had her husband install a white board beside her bathtub. Isn’t that a grand idea?

CONSIDER THE ULTIMATE STORY TELLER
Jesus was the ultimate story teller. He used illustrations the people he talked to would understand. So why shouldn’t we communicate to our children, friends, and those God puts in our path the same way as our Lord? With a story—your story—my story. His story in your life.

SO, I’VE WRITTEN MY STORY…NOW WHAT?
Once you’ve written a few pages, search for other writers to share your words. Or you can spend endless hours plowing through a whole book—like I did in Roped. Took years. Oh well, that decision gave me the opportunity to rewrite the whole manuscript—a bunch-a-times. The most profitable thing God led me to do (besides talking to Him about my writing) was joining a group of six other serious writers. We allowed ourselves to be vulnerable. To listen to the others’ suggestions and accept their advice.

BUT YOU NEED TO MAKE A COMMITMENT BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Decide in your heart and mind to never, never, never give-up! Seek God’s direction and walk through the doors He opens. And someday you’ll hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant—”
Now what are you waiting for? No time like the present to write! To ge this book click: https://goo.gl/HCQxA5

5-Stars! "A Big Thumbs Up for this Amazing Read!"
"On April 20, 2016, I hosted talented author DiAne Gates on my blog where she answered my questions and at my request shared a review for her fiction "Roped". The fact that I'd spent a great summer riding and taking care of the horse, I was given named Apricot made her story one I knew I wanted to read. But time, my own writing and the busyness of life caused me to push that thought aside until DiAne offered to gift me her book when she discovered that I'd been sick for many months.

As I imaged from the opening sentence to the last one I was in cowgirl heaven. I know that sounds odd because I'm a city gal - acrylic nails and all - but even if you've never been in the saddle, 'Roped' will put a lariat around your heart and you’ll be tethed to Crissy Crosby who while chasing her dream to continue her parents’ rodeo legacy discovers that with God all things even the taming of her... Since I don't want to spoil the story, you'll have to read this emotionally charged story for yourself to find out what happens! And I strongly suggest that you give yourself this pleasure now!" #Happy #FreebieWeekend #Download Choosing to Be 4 #Free NOW!

Beverly Lynnt in her 5-Star review said, “What a terrific resolution to the first book! I want more! This is book two of the series, The Naomi Chronicles. Both books are very closely tied, so even though they are complete books and can be read on their own, this second book closely continues the story begun in the first book and resolves much of it. I recommend you purchase them together and read them one right after the other.

The focus of this book divides between Naomi and her husband, Chaz. They are separated after only one week of marriage at the beginning of this story. What's unique about this book is that the first book emphasized how most of life's choices had been removed from Naomi's life in her first thirty years. How many of us readers can identify with that? Stuff happens, and sometimes leads us places we hadn't originally wanted to go. But now, she is at a crossroads and begins to realize she has many choices to make. The choices do not come easy to her, so this is her opportunity to learn many truths, find her inner peace, especially coming to peace with her past, and figure out how to proceed. Does she go back into hiding, or will she become like a butterfly, finally released from her cocoon?

Also in this second book, we become more acquainted with Chaz as an individual. We only get to know him briefly in the first book, so now his character becomes a little more developed and we see why he does the things he does. There is a twist in the plot here that may surprise you. I know it certainly knocked me for a loop when I learned more of his background. All I will tell you at this point is that there is a resolution for Naomi and Chaz. But the twist and the means of resolution is what makes this part of the tale so interesting.

There is so much to love in this second book. First, the author does a remarkable job of fashioning an old-world atmosphere in the way Naomi dresses, talks and thinks that's charming. But it is also in stark contrast to the rest of this new world, and it takes her time to adjust to the American way of life. I find that so endearing. The author uses a small boy to make that transition more palatable for Naomi. As the saying goes, "out of the mouth of babes..."

Second, the same little boy brings in comic relief while Naomi grapples with heavy life issues. How true to life! Often when we are trying to take in what God is speaking to us about, distractions are a way of bringing relief to the intensity of the moment. Either it becomes a way to take our minds off the issue and leads us away, or it helps us focus better on the point God is trying to make. I enjoy seeing how the author uses this feature for Naomi's good.

Third, I love the way the author leaves an opening for further development near the conclusion of the book. It makes me look forward to reading more of this series.” http://amzn.to/1zK3rPC

Longing, lies, desire and passion give Naomi and Chaz no rest as they try to figure out how to live without the one their heart cannot forget or forgive. Desolate, will they answer God's heart call? In her 5-Star rave of this Inspirational Christian Romance author Katie Mettner said, “Chaz and Naomi's story will captivate you!

Unable to face the fallout of revealed secrets, Naomi has fled. Alienated from all who loved and affirmed her, with no place to stay, God will gift her everything if -- finding herself embraced by people who care -- Naomi discovers the 'Lover of her Soul'. Will Naomi's friendship with a 'Titus 2 Woman' and the blessings found at 'Blessings Rock' bring her to Christ?

When Chaz visits his family, he discovers that Naomi and he are very much the same. Yet he needs more proof. Sent his uncle’s Chaz is about to realize that his life was a lie. Will discovering that what he is told is true help him claim Naomi's love again?

Can the individual faith journey’s each has taken bring them back ready to love each other? And if so, how does a couple that wed before they knew each other overcome what Lola did? http://amzn.to/1zK3rPC
